Absolute Security - Security Solutions for Your Home and Business
Access Control systems are designed to limit or regulate people or vehicle access to a protected building or area. These include:
  • Proximity Access Systems: Designed to allow authorised persons entry through a gate, barrier or door. The user carries a card or fob. Authorisation can be limited individually by door, area or time.
  • Keypad Entry Systems: Generally stand alone, these systems require a PIN number to gain entry, however they can be connected to networked systems.
  • Stand Alone / Networked Systems: Stand alone systems are usually employed when there is a small number of access points. Networked systems allow multiple access points to be controlled from one place and can include multiple sites.
  • Audio & video call systems: These can be hard wired, radio linked or even connected via the GSM mobile phone network. Video systems can be either black and white or colour.
  • Biometrics: Predominately use fingerprint readers to ascertain the validity of a person attempting entry to a building or area.
  • Gates and Barriers: Whether existing gates or new, automation can be fitted to most types of gate to limit access. Vehicle barriers can also be used to direct or limit vehicle movements.

Access Control Systems

Access control could be a basic single-entrance access system consisting of perhaps just one audio intercom, or a large and complex computer-based automated system incorporating multiple gates, barriers and doors. Either way, a properly managed access control system is an essential element to every good security system.

Effective access control into and around your premises is vital to providing a safe and secure environment for staff and visitors, along with protecting other valuable and sometimes irreplaceable business and personal assets.

Proper access control enables effective management of authorised staff and visitors, whilst denying access to disruptive, criminal, and other unwelcome elements.

Access control as part of a security system that may include physical systems, CCTV, intruder alarms, and fire systems, will send a strong message that you take security risks seriously, and have taken important steps to minimise any harmful effects.
