Voice Command Fire Detection System For School

The Situation

A boarding school came to us with the desire to change their fire detection system.  Recent research had shown that 'voice command' rather than 'single sounding' alarms produced less panic in people and, in the case of a fire, encouraged a safer evacuation.

The Solution

Working across the site, we set up a networked system that would not only vacate the premises using voice commands but also automatically alerted the local fire brigade and initiated a number of other safety measures.
