Did your emergency lighting work in the power cuts?

March 11, 2014/0 Comments/in News/by devteam212

Emergency lighting is the lighting with an alternative power source that comes on automatically when a building experiences a power outage or some disruption to its normal power supply.  In the case of a fire on the premises, it can be crucial in ensuring a safe evacuation.

During the recent extreme weather conditions and power outages a number of organisations found their emergency lighting failed to perform effectively.

If your emergency lighting system was amongst these, please do get in touch. We are trained and highly experienced in BS5266 part 8: 2004 and all facets of emergency lighting design, installation, servicing and maintenance.

Remember, under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 article 17, the owner or occupier of a non-domestic building is responsible for ensuring all emergency lighting on the premises is maintained to an efficient working order and is in good repair.

With more extreme weather forecast, if your emergency lighting needs a service or isn’t performing as it should please call us on tel 01483 791500 or email The Sales Team at Absolute Security.
