Absolute Security will carry out a free security and safety audit of your schools existing Perimeter Security, including Fencing and Gates, and if required, CCTV, Intercom and Door Entry systems.
Why do you need safe and secure perimeter fencing and gates for your school?
A safe and secure perimeter forms part of the legal responsibility for the protection and safety of pupils, staff, parents and visitors of the education authority and teachers during term time opening hours.
A safe and secure perimeter will help to protect the school from unauthorised entry, accidents, injury, deter theft, truancy, anti-social behaviour and reduce the risk of malicious damage.
It is important to separate pedestrian and vehicle access to and from the school, to reduce the risk of injury to pupils, staff, and visitors. A professionally assessed, safe and secure perimeter solution that meets all the relevant standards and recommendations will instil confidence within the school, enhance its aesthetics and make it a more attractive option to parents looking for a potential school for their child.
The Absolute Security Safety Audit Report
After a full consultation with your staff and facilities management teams, our audit report will highlight any current security and safety risks.
This will include a recommended security and safety upgrade program, highlighting on a sliding scale the high risks to the lower risk items that need to be considered.
We can also undertake area specific audit reports covering various school sectors, such as playing fields, sports courts, car parks, children’s play areas, playground segregation, school buildings and safe control of school entry and exit for both pedestrians and vehicles.
Vehicle and Pedestrian Automated Gates
Where our report covers existing automated school gates, which are a major safety and security risk, we will highlight the condition of the existing gates, automation, safety edges, photocells, and other safety features including finger guards. We will highlight recommendations to ensure the issues found are corrected and brought up to current regulation compliance. (See Note 1)
Where there is a requirement for new automated gates or automating existing gates, our proposals will meet all the current legislation including EU directive 2006/42/EC and Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008.
