Staff Protection

Ensure the safety of vulnerable employees using specialist staff protection measures.

Staff protection technology is a series of measures that offer staff additional protection in the workplace and back-up in case of conflict. As well as providing staff protection to lone workers or those who work in potentially dangerous situations, staff protection can also be used as a reasonable adjustment for employees with some medical conditions.

There are a wide range of staff protection measures available. These range from panic buttons to tracking systems and can be integrated with other security measures that your organisation has in place.

Qualified & Approved Staff Protection Providers

We are fully qualified to the latest standards to supply and commission all staff protection systems we provide. As NSI Gold approved installers, we fit, commission and maintain staff protection systems to the highest possible industry standard.

Commercial staff protection

Employees can be subject to a wide range of risks depending on the organisation they work for and their individual role. For this reason, we have a full choice of staff protection tools to protect your employees and your business. Some of these range from panic buttons for use in retail, banking or hospitality, to alarms which trigger in response to a lack of movement – especially relevant for lone workers.

Supplying your staff with appropriate protection measures reassures them that you care for their welfare and safety and can minimise the risks they are exposed to.

Public sector staff protection

Public sector staff can be subject to a variety of threats, even if that their working environment seems uncontentious. We supply a comprehensive range of staff protection measures for employees who work in the police, prison service, healthcare sector and educational establishments. More recently, we have started supplying individuals working in government or council roles with personal protection devices as these people increasingly find themselves dealing with individuals who mean them harm.

Providing your staff with appropriate staff protection alarms and measures not only sounds an alarm to call for back-up or to monitor their situation, but also serves to reassure them that you take their welfare and safety seriously.

Integrated staff protection technology

All staff protection technology we provide can be integrated with other security measures. For instance, sounding a panic button could trigger your fogging system at the same time as alerting the police. Another example would be to activate the CCTV monitoring in set locations and initiate a lockdown alarm.

Commonly asked questions about staff protection technology:

What staff protection options are available?

You can choose from a large variety of staff protection options which include panic buttons and personal alarms, lone worker alarms, tracking systems for employees who travel alone, pagers and sensor alarms which trigger an alarm if unusual activity is detected.

How do I know which type of staff protection system is right for my organisation?

The right staff protection for your organisation depends on a full range of details such as the nature of your operation, the risks your employees face, and how many employees you need to protect. We will visit you to understand your organisation and staff activities in more detail, taking operational requirements such as where your employees visit, whether they are lone workers, the level of training needed and whether any other security measures are needed or are already in place.

Once we have this information, we can talk to you about the options that would suit your organisation and your staff, helping you make an informed choice about the right staff protection system.

Can personal alarms work without an internet connection or mobile reception?

Yes – depending on where the notification needs to be received, personal alarms don’t necessarily need to be connected to the outside world. A mobile handheld alarm can be carried on a clip or lanyard and be connected via a secure radio path for site-wide coverage.  Then, if the personal alarm is activated, the office is notified and can take action.

What happens if something goes wrong with my staff protection system?

We offer full parts and labour warranty on all new equipment supplied and commissioned by us. Therefore, if there is a problem with your staff protection alarms or system and they are within warranty, we will fix them for you with no quibble.

Regular servicing and maintenance are essential in ensuring your staff protection continues to perform at its best. For this reason, we offer a range of maintenance packages to cater for different budgets and different needs.

How much do staff protection systems cost?

Because of the choice of staff protection systems available, and the need for each system to be adapted to its specific purpose, we can’t provide a typical cost for a new staff protection system. However, we will be very happy to talk through the options that might suit your situation and give you an indication of cost. We will carry out a free assessment of your organisation to understand your needs in full. We also provide full quotations with zero obligation.

To help you spread the cost of your purchase, you can pay for your staff protection system over a fixed period of instalments. Unlike some other security companies, you will own your system once you have paid for it in full.
