Fire detection system for large family home

The Situation

Our client were the homeowners of a large and sprawling property in Surrey. They were concerned about the safety of their family in the situation of a fire. Whilst they had installed battery operated smoke detectors, they worried about not hearing these if they went off at one end of the house.

They called upon their local fire brigade to conduct a free fire risk assessment and then came to us with the results.

The Solution

We installed a networked fire detection system across the whole house. Whilst unobtrusive and discreet in appearance, its technology meant that if an fire was detected in one part of the house the system would alert all parts of the house through specially located ‘sounders’. This would give the family plenty of time to evacuate. The system also ran off the mains, rather than a battery supply. This meant the family no longer had to worry about replacing batteries or risk having smoke and fire detectors that weren’t working.
